Companies advertise in such a way to make us feel like we need that item. So we end up filling our homes with stuff that we clearly do not need. For instance, I have two laptops, both working perfectly, but I was overcome with the burning need to buy an Ipad! Now, when it comes to checking Myface or SpaceBook, I sit for 19 years trying to figure out what appliance would be most up to the job. Because of this, we now neglect our more 'vital' household items. Whilst visiting the lavatory, for example, I need to take the thing by surprise in order to get it to flush. It's just not right!
Up until last year, I lived in New York, no one knows how to advertise like New Yorkers. On cabs, trains, bridges, pavements, the back of your eye lids. The only difference being, they actually have the gumf to sell what they advertise. You could walk into Walmart, 'excuse me good sir, where is the depleted uranium?' chances are, isle 4, next to the apple sauce.
So you see, advertising is everywhere, and no mater how hard we try, we will always end up buying stuff that makes no difference to our lives whatsoever! So , just be careful out there.
